Orient Star Khiva

"Orient Star Khiva" is one of the most unusual hotels in Central Asia. It is located in the old monument, madrasah of Muhammad Amin Khan, located in the center of Khiva and in the inner part of the fortress of Ichan Kala.

Madrasah was built in the middle of the XIX century and for almost 50 years more than 250 students studied here. Guests are given the opportunity to live in rooms that were used by teachers of medieval schools to educate their students.

Today, the former walls of students place tourists. The spirit of the past reigns over every corner of the hotel. Connoisseurs as well as lovers of ancient history and architecture can appreciate this hotel in its true value, once having looked at it: the coolness during a hot period due to its unique structure allows guests to stay inside without the need for an air-conditioner.

The hotel adjoins the most famous sight of Khiva - minaret of Kalta Minor. The rooms of the hotel are the rooms in which the students of the madrasah settled.
